RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Seventh-ranked Louisville's home game with No. 18 Florida State highlights the weekend schedule as the Atlantic Coast Conference dives fully into its first 20-game league schedule. That includes road games for No. 2 Duke, while Notre Dame's John Mooney has been a relentless rebounder entering a game against Syracuse. Virginia is also trying to find more offensive efficiency after a big drop-off from last year's national-title run. On the women's side, the ACC has three top-10 teams in the AP Top 25 with No. 7 Louisville, No. 8 Florida State and No. 9 North Carolina State.
CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Dana Evans had 27 points with a career-high seven 3-pointers and No. 7 Louisville blew out Clemson 75-50. Evans had 24 points in the opening half as the Cardinals opened a 28-point lead at halftime and cruised to their fifth straight win overall and eighth in a row over the Tigers. Elizabeth Balogun added 15 points and five of her team's seven blocked shots. Evans bounced back from an off night in her last game, when she scored just nine points in Louisville's win over Syracuse on Sunday.
UNDATED (AP) — LSU star safety Grant Delpit has switched positions and played through an injury this season. His stats are down from year. He was still good enough to win the Thorpe Award as the nation's best defensive back. Delpit heads into the national championship game against Clemson feeling healthy and playing about as well as he has all season. The same goes for LSU's defense across the board.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Desmond Ridder ran for 105 yards and three touchdowns and threw a scoring pass to lead No. 23 Cincinnati to a 38-6 victory over Boston College in the weather-delayed Birmingham Bowl. The Bearcats reached 11 wins for the second straight season and fourth in program history, bouncing back from two straight losses to No. 15 Memphis. The Eagles were outgained 459-164 in total yards to finish a turbulent postseason. Coach Steve Addazio was fired after seven seasons and star tailback A.J. Dillon declared for the NFL draft and skipped the bowl game. Wide receivers coach Rich Gunnell led the team through the bowl game, while newly hired Jeff Hafley was on hand as a spectator after finishing his duties as Ohio State's co-defensive coordinator.
ATLANTA (AP) — Jasmine Carson and Lotta-Maj Lahtinen scored 15 points apiece, combining for 18 in a dominating fourth quarter and Georgia Tech upset No. 23 Miami 61-54. The Yellow Jackets trailed 42-31 entering the fourth quarter but scored the first 11 points, a 3-pointer by Carson tying the game at the 7:26 mark. Following a Hurricanes' free throw, Georgia Tech scored seven more points and then used an 8-0 run for a 57-47 lead with 2:16 to play.
