SALT LAKE CITY — Lake-effect snow has made the roads slick on the west side of the Salt Lake Valley Monday morning.

Commuters face icy and snowy conditions in areas including state Route 201 and I-80, on state Route 36 near Lake Point, and along parts of Bangerter Highway and Redwood Road, according to the KSL Traffic Center.

Traffic has also slowed on I-15 in Draper, American Fork and Lehi, KSL NewsRadio reported.

The National Weather Service expected the snow to taper off later Monday morning, between 8 and 9.

School buses in Tooele County were running late Monday morning due to road conditions. Buses picking up students from the Lakepoint and Stansbury Park areas were running up to 45 minutes late, Tooele County School District said on Twitter.

Anyone with questions about the bus delays can call the Tooele County School District transportation office at 435-833-1916.
