PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) — Trazon Connley passed for 323 yards and three TDs and ran 10 times for 85 yards to help Prairie View A&M beat NAIA Edward Waters 41-14 on Saturday.
Travis O'Connor caught two passes for 90 yards, including a 36-yard TD reception to make it 20-7 early in the second quarter. Tony Mullins had eight catches for 67 yards and Dawonya Tucker ran 14 times for 58 yards and a score.
Mullins returned a punt 46 yards to open the scoring for the Panthers (5-5) with 11:36 left in the first quarter. The Tigers tied it at 7 later in the period on Maliek Stephens’ 1-yard TD run, but Prairie View A&M scored three touchdowns in the second quarter to pull away.
Roshard Branch passed for 116 yards, a touchdown and an interception for Edward Waters. Stephens ran 11 times for 44 yards.
