JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — A Wyoming developer and representatives of two men who died on his property have reached a settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit. The Jackson Hole News & Guide reported the terms of the settlement involving developer Jamie Mackay were filed in Teton County District Court. The lawsuit says Mackay was to blame for the September 2018 accident that killed 42-year-old Juan Baez Sanchez and 56-year-old Victoriano Garcia Perez. A court seal prevents attorneys from discussing the settlement details.
CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — An employee at the Casper Re-Entry Center has been charged with domestic violence. Brian Heninger made his initial appearance in Natrona County Circuit Court on Tuesday on a domestic battery charge. Heninger called the charges "a grave mistake," saying during his court appearance that he was the victim in the incident.
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Bureau of Land Management is proposing to offer 105 oil and gas lease parcels totaling about 118,200 acres in Wyoming at a quarterly lease sale next March. In coordination with the state, the BLM is deferring four whole parcels and a portion of one other because they intersect state-designated big game migration corridors.
CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — A Wyoming man who fired a gun inside a hospital while he was high on LSD has been sentenced to six to nine years in prison. The Casper Star-Tribune reported 20-year-old Mitchell D. Taylor was sentenced for aggravated assault and property damage. Taylor says he drove to the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper seeking help with the effects of the drug March 4. Authorities say Taylor pointed a gun at two employees and fired seven times, missing both workers but damaging property.
