COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Amadou Sylla had 20 points and 14 rebounds as Tennessee Tech defeated the NAIA's Martin Methodist 83-70 in its home opener on Saturday night.

Hunter Vick had 16 points for Tennessee Tech (1-1). Darius Allen added 14 points and eight rebounds. JR. Clay had 13 points and six assists for the hosts.

Octavian Arnold had 14 points for the RedHawks. Felix Hayes added 13 points and eight rebounds. Sam Martin had 12 points.

Tennessee Tech plays Wright St. at home on Tuesday.
