COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — No. 13 Wisconsin knows the road is about to get even tougher against No. 3 Ohio State. The Badgers were stunned by Illinois last week, derailing what was starting to look like a steady climb into playoff contention. The Buckeyes have blown out all their opponents so far and don't make many big mistakes. The Badgers will ride Heisman Trophy candidate Jonathan Taylor and hope their nation-leading defense can slow Ohio State.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck warned his team of the danger of a letdown last week before the game at overmatched Rutgers, right after Wisconsin lost at Illinois in the biggest stunner of the season so far in major college football. The Gophers passed that test. They face another one Saturday against a Maryland team that beat them 42-13 last year. Minnesota is 17th in the latest AP poll, the program's highest ranking in 15 years. With a win, the Gophers would be 8-0 for the first time since 1941.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) — As Rutgers hopes to avoid back-to-back 1-11 seasons, its best bet for a win comes against Liberty on Saturday. Still, the odds are against the Scarlet Knights. They are an underdog to a team that joined the FBS two years ago and is still without a conference. The Flames (5-2) are a touchdown favorite over the Scarlet Knights (1-6, 0-5).
