THE STREET — When you need a few minutes of solid entertainment, it’s time to find a street busker.

These performers often have a good amount of skill, but they also tend to develop a fun stage presence in order to attract a crowd and thus some cash.

Now, bucket drumming is a fairly common skill in the busking world, so each drummer has to do something unique in order to stand out from the crowd. That’s where Chirs Harris, bucket drummer, comes in.

In this video, you’ll immediately notice one thing — Mr. Harris is a dead ringer for Steve Carell, and his personality feels a whole lot Michael Scott from “The Office,” arguably Carell’s most famous role.

Both Harris and the character Michael Scott have bombastic personalities, but the difference between the two is that Harris actually follows through with his promises. In this case, it really does mean an impressive execution of an incredibly fast, one-handed drum roll. I believe the performance is what the kids call “face-melting.”

You’ll have to be patient while watching the video because any street performer worth their salt is going to build up the suspense to make the payoff even more exciting. And Harris certainly does his due diligence in this area.

(Please note that I did not compare Harris to Rick Allen, drummer for Def Leppard, who lost his left arm in a car crash in the 80s. Two decades of playing drums with one arm is not the same as a drum roll of a few moments.)

You can see more from Harris on his YouTube channel.
