SANDY — Two juveniles and one 19-year-old man are in custody Sunday after leading police on a high-speed chase through the Salt Lake Valley.

Sandy police Sgt. Jason Nielson said they received a report of shots fired around 2:20 a.m. on Candlelite Lane near the Midvale border. Responding officers spotted an involved vehicle, a white Dodge Durango, and a pursuit ensued.

Sandy officers ended their pursuit when the vehicle got on northbound I-15 at 9000 South. Unified police spotted the vehicle on I-15 around 5300 South.

The chase ultimately ended in Salt Lake City at 300 West and 900 South. The three males were transported back to Sandy, Nielson said.

Nielson said there are no reports of injuries or property damage resulting from the shots fired. He said there was “at least one” gun recovered from the Durango.
