Officials said the evacuations were ordered as a precaution and about 40 firefighters will work overnight on the fire. Flames aren't bearing down on homes yet, but that could change if winds shift, officials said.
The likelihood of the fire making a substantial run toward homes is very low, according to fire officials.
Helicopter and UFA engines were on scene, according to a tweet from Utah Wildfire Info, and air tankers were also called in to assist.
According to Utah Wildfire Info, the fire was estimated to be 5-10 acres and spreading uphill.
Other details, such as a cause of the flames, was not immediately available. This story will be updated.
