OGDEN, Utah (AP) — A disgruntled former employee of a Lowe's store in northern Utah has been charged with making a terroristic threat on accusations he called in a bomb threat to the store.
Charging documents show 60-year-old Kenneth David Gill was charged Thursday with the second-degree felony in 2nd District Court. Authorities say Gill called a Lowe's in Ogden on July 16 and said there was a bomb in the building. Then he hung up.
The building was evacuated but authorities did not find a bomb inside.
Police later located Gill at his home. He told officers he threatened the store because he was angry about getting fired days earlier and wanted to scare employees.
No attorney has been listed in court documents. Gill faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
