LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ako Thomas drove in two runs with a single, Tommy Henry pitched seven solid innings and Michigan is headed to the College World Series for the first time in 35 years after defeating top-seeded UCLA 4-2 in the deciding game of the Los Angeles super regional. It will be the Wolverines' eighth CWS appearance but their first since 1984.

UNDATED (AP) — Florida State coach Mike Martin will get one more shot at winning his first national championship before he retires. The Seminoles continued their improbable postseason surge with a 5-4 win over LSU in 12 innings to complete a two-game super regional sweep. Michigan returning to CWS for first time since 1984. Vanderbilt, Texas Tech and Mississippi State also win super regionals to advance. Louisville earned a CWS spot Saturday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Kevin Kendall's one-out double in the 12th inning scored Jake Moberg with the go-ahead run and national top seed UCLA forced a deciding game in the NCAA Baseball Tourmanet's Los Angeles super regional with a 5-4 victory over Michigan. Moberg, who came on as a pinch-hitter, reached on a fielding error by pitcher Walker Cleveland to lead off the inning and scored on Kendall's double to right-center.
