WASHINGTON (AP) — Many House Democrats say they aren't ready to push for impeachment. But they have scheduled a series of hearings this coming week on special counsel Robert Mueller's report. President Donald Trump says the Russia probe is "case closed. But House Democrats don't agree. They're intensifying their focus on the Russia probe and picking up the pace on an investigative path that some hope leads to impeachment of Trump while others hope to at least keep the heat on him.

STERLING, Va. (AP) — The United States and Mexico averted the placement of 5% tariffs on goods from Mexico when they reached a deal on immigration. But President Donald Trump says in a series of tweets that if Mexico doesn't cooperate on border issues, "we can always go back to our previous, very profitable, position of Tariffs." He says he doesn't believe that'll be necessary. The tariffs were to take effect Monday

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (AP) — The father of David Ortiz says the former Boston Red Sox slugger has been shot and wounded in his native Dominican Republic. Leo Ortiz told ESPN.com that Ortiz was shot while at an entertainment center in Santo Domingo. A Dominican TV station reported that Ortiz was shot in the back.

NEW YORK (AP) — "Hadestown," the brooding musical about the underworld, has reason to smile broadly: It's the best new musical Tony Award winner. Singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell's folk-opera intertwines the myths of Orpheus and Eurydice, and Hades and Persephone. It beat out "Ain't Too Proud _ The Life and Times of the Temptations," "Tootsie," "Beetlejuice" and "The Prom."

OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Victory Schofield's parents want her to be accepted for who she is: an intersex child. Instead of changing Victory, they are intent on changing the world so it is more accepting of intersex people. Intersex is an umbrella term for a number of conditions where internal or external sex characteristics aren't exactly like typical male or female bodies.
