NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A 36-year-old woman is accused of the killing of a Danish tourist in New Orleans.
Police said Thursday that Brandy Myles is facing a second-degree murder charge in the death of 44-year-old Poul Hansen.
Police say Hansen was found May 18, shot in the head in eastern New Orleans.
Myles was already jailed on unrelated charges in a neighboring jurisdiction when she was arrested on the murder charge. Police didn't give her home town or possible motive. It wasn't immediately clear if she has an attorney.
Attorney Mads Pramming of Copenhagen represents Hansen's family. He said by email that he received information that Hansen's wallet and phone were missing when his body was found near his hotel. He says Hansen lived in Them (TEM), a town in central Denmark.
