SALT LAKE CITY — Police are still searching for a man who they say pulled a woman out of her minivan on Thursday and then drove off with her toddler still inside.
The incident took place about 1:16 p.m. at the intersection of 2100 South and Green Street, which is between 600 East and 700 East, police said. The woman was trying to make a U-turn at Green Street when the man came up to her car and pulled her out.
As of Friday, Salt Lake police detective Mike Ruff said they are still looking for the man, as well as the 2001 gray Honda Odyssey involved in the carjacking.

Police said the woman did not know the man who took her car. A man saw the 3-year-old girl about 30 minutes later near 950 S. West Temple and called police.
The girl was not harmed and was reunited with her mother, Ruff said.
Police don’t know why the man took the car, he added.
The person of interest is described as white, between 30 and 35 years old, with a skinny build and a shaved head, police said. The van has Utah licence plate W054VG, according to police.
