SALT LAKE CITY — An early morning home invasion robbery in Salt Lake City has left one man in extremely critical condition and an elderly woman with serious injuries from being pushed down a flight of stairs, according to police.

The incident happened about 12:20 a.m. Sunday at 577 N. 1400 West. At least two men wearing masks entered the home, said Salt Lake City police public relations director Christina Judd.

Detectives on Sunday were still collecting evidence and trying to piece together what happened. Judd said at least one shot was fired, but she was not sure how a man in the house was injured.

Judd said investigators were looking at whether the incident was drug related. No arrests had been made as of Sunday afternoon,
