Police identify northern Idaho man killed by train

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities have identified a northern Idaho man struck and killed by a train as 42-year-old Michael E. Hart of Post Falls.

Lt. Ryan Higgins of the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office tells the Coeur d'Alene Press that video from the train shows Hart lying on the tracks early Tuesday morning when he was struck.

Higgins also says Hart walked to the area from his residence.

Police are continuing to investigate.
