LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Police say a Utah man has died after a 17-year-old boy attacked him when his younger sister claimed the man sexually assaulted her on a bus last month.
Logan police announced Tuesday that detectives reviewed video footage from the Cache Valley Transit District bus, finding that 62-year-old Michael Fife did not assault the 16-year-old girl.
Police say the girl told her brother that Fife assaulted her, and the teen attacked the man after he got off the bus.
Fife fell to the sidewalk and suffered injuries to his head. He died four days later.
The girl later reported the sexual assault to police.
Police say the case is still under investigation. The names of the teens have not been released.
