(KSL News) Ogden firefighters responded this morning to a house fire at 1839 Kiesel Ave. This is the same area where several suspicious fires were set earlier this month.

The fire started around 8:40 a.m. When crews arrived they found light smoke coming from the abandoned building. Because the house is abandoned, it is listed as a suspicious fire, and fire investigators are looking into the cause of the blaze.

Fire investigators are working with the Ogden Police Department in an effort stop suspicious fires in this area.

Last week, police arrested Marianne Mancuso in connection to four fires. She has admitted to setting several fires in the area of Kiesel Avenue and 18th street. She said she did it to jump-start a multi-million dollar redevelopment project planned in the area.

Investigators are asking neighbors to keep monitoring the area, and if possible to use a camera to take pictures of anyone leaving the area.
