ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — The Georgia athletic association's board of directors has unanimously endorsed naming the field at Sanford Stadium in honor of former longtime coach Vince Dooley. The vote came in a teleconference meeting led by University of Georgia president Jere Morehead. The plan to dedicate Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium this year still awaits approval of the Board of Regents later this month.
