LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Online bettors who wagered on Maximum Security in the Kentucky Derby only to see the colt get disqualified for interference will receive refunds. Churchill Downs' online wagering service, Twinspires.com, tweeted that it will give back up to $10 to anyone who bet on Maximum Security to win in Saturday's Derby. The company said more than $6 million was bet on the colt to win.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — It's unclear whether Maximum Security will race in the Preakness after the colt's disqualification from the Kentucky Derby. Co-owner Gary West says he is unsure whether to enter Maximum Security in the Preakness as he ponders appealing the decision. The appeals process could extend well beyond the May 18 race at Pimlico in Baltimore.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Washington Nationals have placed first baseman Matt Adams on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder strain and recalled rookie infielder Jake Noll from Triple-A Fresno. Adams joins a long list of sidelined Nationals that includes Ryan Zimmerman, Anthony Rendon (ren-DOHN'), Trea (tray) Turner (finger) and Juan Soto.

BALTIMORE (AP) — Persistent rain has forced the postponement of today's game in Baltimore between the Orioles and the Tampa Bay Rays. The game will be made up on July 13 at 1 p.m. as part of a split doubleheader. The Rays won the opener of the three-game series on Friday night before managing only three hits last night in a 3-0 loss to the last-place Orioles.

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Cubs look to finish off a three-game sweep of the Cardinals tonight at Wrigley Field. After a 2-7 start that had some fans wondering what was wrong with the Cubbies, a win over St. Louis would put them in the NL Central lead. Cubs lefty Jose Quintana, who is 3-0 with a 1.69 ERA in his last four starts, goes against Adam Wainwright, who's won his last two starts for the Cards.
