LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) — A ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting has ended with the names of 12 students and a teacher killed being read aloud, accompanied by the release of white doves. More than 2,000 people attended the event in a park near the suburban Denver high school on Saturday afternoon. Frank DeAngelis, who was the school's principal during the 1999 shooting, said he begins every morning by reciting the victims' names.

VATICAN CITY (AP) — "Do not bury hope!" Pope Francis says while leading an Easter vigil at St. Peter's Basilica. The pontiff encourages people to resist cynicism and avoid seeking life's meaning in "things that pass away." Encouraging the faithful, Francis says: "Why not prefer Jesus, the true light, to the glitter of wealth, career, pride and pleasure?" At the start of the ceremony on Easter's eve, Francis, dressed in white robes, slowly carried a lit candle up the aisle of the darkened basilica.

AMHERST, N.H. (AP) — Some Democratic presidential candidates aren't saying whether they'd re-open investigations into President Donald Trump if they were to defeat him in 2020. Their fellow 2020 challenger, Elizabeth Warren, and some other liberals have increased the pressure on Democratic leaders to pursue impeachment following the release of a redacted version of the Mueller report. Candidates Kamala Harris, Cory Booker and Pete Buttigieg (BOO'-tuh-juhj) are taking a wait-and-see attitude.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Mueller report has sparked a barbed back-and-forth on Twitter between President Donald Trump and a fellow Republican, Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah. Romney tweeted on Friday that he was "sickened" by the dishonesty the special counsel's report found in the Trump White House. Trump responded Saturday by pointing to Romney's presidential defeat in 2012, saying Romney might have won had he used the same energy against Democrat Barack Obama as he does in criticizing Trump.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A man who authorities suspect was involved in a February raid on North Korean's Embassy in Madrid has been arrested and charged in Los Angeles. A person familiar with the matter tells The Associated Press that Christopher Ahn was charged Friday. The person could not discuss the matter publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. The charges against the former Marine were not immediately clear.
