LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Asia Durr scored 47 points to match her school record, the first 22 during No. 3 Louisville's 36-point opening quarter in a 92-62 victory over No. 10 North Carolina State. Durr made an Atlantic Coast Conference-record 11 3-pointers and also set a career high with 17 attempts. She also scored 47 points at Ohio State in November 2017.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Beatrice Mompremier picked up her 22nd double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds and No. 15 Miami rolled to a 69-56 win over Georgia Tech, which was playing its first game after coach MaChelle Joseph was suspended. Georgia Tech officials said Wednesday Joseph was placed on leave due to a "pending personnel matter."

NEW YORK (AP) — Federal prosecutors are recommending multiyear prison sentences for three men convicted of fraud for channeling secret payments to the families of top-tier basketball recruits to influence where the players went to school. Former Adidas executive James Gatto, business manager Christian Dawkins and amateur league director Merl Code were convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in October for funneling recruits to Louisville, Kansas and North Carolina State.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — Officials from Miami and Florida say they expect a decision from the NCAA shortly on whether their season opener will be moved up a week to Aug. 24. The schools released a statement saying that the idea stemmed from ESPN, which is working in concert with the organization that is promoting the 150th season of college football in 2019. The game is originally scheduled for Aug. 31 in Orlando, Florida.

ATLANTA (AP) — A lawyer for Georgia Tech women's basketball coach MaChelle Joseph says the coach hasn't been told why she has been suspended. The lawyer says Joseph is left to assume the action is retaliation for her concerns about gender equity matters. The statement from lawyer Lisa Banks came one day after Georgia Tech announced Joseph was placed on leave due to a "pending personnel matter." Assistant coach Mark Simons is expected to serve as acting coach in Thursday night's game at Miami.
