SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — An attack that had a Utah high school teacher clinging to a car hood to avoid being run over has brought charges against two 19-year-old men.
Prosecutors said Wednesday they accelerated at the teacher after he confronted them about drinking in a high-school parking lot.
Charging documents say driver Cristian Hernandez and passenger Marquez Anthony Parker kept driving to a nearby gas station as he clung to the roof.
The teacher tried to leave then, but had jump on the roof a second time when they drove at him again.
Warrants have been issued for both men. Both are charged with misdemeanor assault against a school employee; Hernandez is also charged with felony aggravated assault in the Dec. 13 attack.
No attorneys have been listed for either man.
