(KSL News) A 15-year-old out for a driving lesson with his grandfather got in a wreck, rolled the truck, and his grandfather died.
Utah Highway Patrol says the 18-year old driver of a Hyundai was trying to pass a semi on Highway 30 just north of Cedar City.
The teenager driving the pickup had a learners permit. He was coming from the other direction and swerved to miss the Hyundai. That's when the pickup rolled off the road, and his grandfather, Byron Robinson was crushed to death.
Robinson was the husband of the mayor of Paragonah.
