Garth leads 6 in double-digit scoring as Lamar wins 122-58

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Nick Garth drilled five from long range to total 19 points as Lamar decimated Champion Christian College 122-58 on Saturday afternoon.

Lamar (7-6) remained undefeated at home (6-0) after thrashing the Association of Christian College Athletics school in its final nonconference game of the season. The Cardinals, who have won three straight, will travel to Houston Baptist on Wednesday to start league play.

Garth had 13 of his points in the first half as he led six Cardinals in double-digit scoring. Avery Sullivan finished with 17, Mike Kolawole 15, V.J. Holmes added 13, T.J. Atwood 11 and Davion Buster chipped in 10.

The Cardinals garnered 55 points off of 24 steals as 10 players recorded at least one steal with Holmes and Kolawole grabbing four apiece.

Lamar shot 66 percent (49-74) while limiting Champion to 21-of-52 shooting (40 percent). The Cardinals had a 66-12 point advantage underneath the basket.

Tarrance Davis had 14 points for Champion.
