Update: Salt Lake police said on Thursday a 51-year-old man, whose body was found Wednesday, died of a medical issue and his death was not considered suspicious. Authorities declined to release the name of the man.
SALT LAKE CITY — Police are investigating after a man's body turned up outside a government office building in Salt Lake City on Wednesday.
"There's no obvious signs of injury," said Salt Lake City police detective Michael Ruff. "We don't know what the cause of death is."
Police responded to a report of the body found near the Utah Department of Natural Resources building, 1594 W. North Temple, about 11 a.m. Wednesday, Ruff said.
Detectives believe it had been there since Tuesday night and that the man was in his mid- to late 40s, he added. A team of homicide detectives was investigating.
