OAKLAND, Calif. — After the final seconds ticked off, Derek Carr ran straight to the Black Hole with several teammates before taking a victory lap around the Coliseum to celebrate with his fans. If this truly is the final game ever in Oakland, the Raiders gave their fans plenty to cheer at the end of another disappointing season. Dwayne Harris returned a punt 99 yards for a touchdown after Denver failed to down it, Oakland native Doug Martin ran for 107 yards and a score and the Raiders beat the Broncos 27-14 Monday night in what was possibly the final NFL game ever at the Coliseum.
UNDATED (AP) — There are 5 NBA games today. And one of those games is the Milwaukee Bucks vs the Knicks. The Bucks haven't played on Christmas Day since 1977, and forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (YAH'-nihs an-teh-toh-KAHM'-poh) is excited, saying, "I always wanted to play in a Christmas game." The 24-year-old MVP candidate is averaging 26.2 points per game this season. After the Bucks-Knicks tilt, it's Oklahoma City vs. Houston, Philadelphia at Boston, the Los Angeles Lakers against Golden State and Portland visits Utah.
UNDATED (AP) — LeBron James says he's sorry if he "offended anyone" when he shared on his Instagram account lyrics to a song that talks about "Jewish money." The song "ASMR" by rapper 21 Savage says, "We been getting that Jewish money, Everything is Kosher." James told ESPN that he often posts lyrics and listens to "great music" in his car. He says, "I actually thought it was a compliment, and obviously it wasn't through the lens of a lot of people."
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Free agent right-hander Mike Fiers has agreed to a two-year contract to stay with the Oakland Athletics, who were determined to find an experienced starter this offseason to help lead a young rotation. And Oakland would like to add another starter, too, realizing it must provide depth given all the injuries last season. Ace Sean Manaea is recovering from shoulder surgery and not expected back until at least the All-Star break.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A UFC rematch this weekend between Alex Gustafsson and former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is being moved from Las Vegas to Southern California after doping officials reported that Jones tested positive for low levels of a banned steroid. UFC 232 events that had been set for Saturday at T-Mobile Arena will be held at The Forum in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood. UFC spokeswoman Lenee Breckenridge did not respond to questions from The Associated Press about the reason for the relocation.
