SALT LAKE CITY — Three males stole a car at knifepoint when the vehicle's owner tried to meet up with a woman in West Valley Tuesday morning, officials said.
A man arrived at The Redwood Apartments, 4000 S. Redwood Road, about 5:20 a.m. after making arrangements to meet up with a woman he met on social media, according to West Valley Police Lt. Todd Gray.
When the man arrived at the apartments, there was no woman, and three males threatened him with a knife and stole his car, Gray said. They left in an unknown direction.
The car is a black Chevrolet Impala with a temporary license plate.
Police have not yet released details about the appearance, age or identity of the three males.
