THE RECEPTION HALL — I don't know how your day's going so far, but just know it's about to get a lot weepier after you watch this video.
My editor sent me this local video today and gave me no warning whatsoever. This is all the text said: "How do you feel about sentimental wedding dance videos?"
What the text should have read was, "How do you feel about bawling your eyes out and not being able to gain your composure for hours?"
Kaley, the bride, was going to miss out on something she'd always looked forward to: a wedding day dance with her father. The dance wasn't going to happen because Kaley's father passed away unexpectedly in 2015. But even though Kaley's dad wasn't there to dance with her, she does have five older brothers who love her and made sure she still got a special dance.
Kaley's brothers surprised her with a dance to the Michael Bolton song "Fathers and Daughters" with sound bites of their dad's voice sprinkled throughout. Each one of her brothers then danced with her and gave her a different kind of father-daughter dance.
One of Kaley's brothers, Kevin, was kind enough to talk with me and had this to say about the incredibly special moment. "We are all very close, but she definitely had a special bond with my dad. She is the youngest with five older brothers and she was his little princess," Kevin wrote me. "We’ve been planning it the last three months. We all knew we had to incorporate my dad into this wedding somehow, so we all started throwing out ideas and we all agreed that we wanted to dance with her for her father-daughter dance.
"We then started searching for songs and the Michael Bolton song 'Fathers and Daughters' just appeared and we knew it was perfect. We still needed to somehow have my dad be involved and that’s when we thought of all the home videos he took of us growing up. We knew we had something great after finding lots of voice clips of him talking to Kaley. It then evolved into cutting his voice out of the home videos and adding it throughout the song."
It makes for an incredibly beautiful moment that will get the toughest of the toughs to shed a tear.

Thank you to Kaley, Danny, Dustin, Derek, Kevin and Kasey for sharing this moment with us and reminding us what it means to be a family.
Also, if anyone asks, I'm not crying, you're crying.
