SWITZERLAND — I'm not a huge fan of roller coasters, but if a roller coaster is the best way to see a beautiful Swiss mountain, I might just have to give it a try.

This timelapse video, which was posted to Instagram by Raphael Sandoz, shows the view you'll see as you ride the Gelmer Funicular in Switzerland. Spoiler: It's an absolute, jaw-dropping beautiful view.

The funicular is a roller coaster-like cable railway that runs through the mountains with a 46-degree incline at its steepest point. Until last year, it was the steepest funicular of this kind in all of Europe (a new one, also in Switzerland, has a 47.73-degree incline).

As cool as this is, it also looks terrifying. The funicular's website says it's the place to go if you're "looking for an adrenaline rush," but I think you have to be pretty brave to give this a shot. If you're the type of person who likes to keep your eyes shut tight when on a roller coaster, you're going to miss all the great views.

So what I'm thinking is that I'm now going to have to muster up a lot of courage, head to Bern, Switzerland, and try this thing out. Those views really are stunning, so even if you don't like roller coasters, like me, this one looks pretty worth it. I'm adding this to my bucket list, but if any of you make it there before me, let me know how it goes.
