SALT LAKE CITY — Police are asking for the public’s help locating two adolescents who have gone missing over the last 24 hours.

Alisa Garcia, 13, went missing Thursday evening and her brother, Richard Ortega-Lara, 12, went missing Friday morning, Salt Lake police officials said in a tweet. The two are considered possibly endangered, police said.

Alisa suffers from mental illness and is in need of medication, police said. They were last seen in the area of Jordan Park, police said.

Alisa was last seen wearing a black windbreaker and dark jeans, police said in a tweet. Richard was last seen wearing khaki pants, a white polo shirt and dark blue sweater.

Police believe the two are together, according to Salt Lake police detective Greg Wilking.
