OGDEN — Police on Thursday identified a North Ogden man who died after police say a vehicle turned in front of his motorcycle Tuesday night.
Corey Thurgood, 65, died in an ambulance on a way to a hospital shortly after a crash on 900 North and Washington Boulevard, Ogden police confirmed.
Emergency crews responded to a report of a crash about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Thurgood was riding a motorcycle north on the 900 North block of Washington Boulevard when a Toyota Camry turned in front of him, according to police.
Police said in a statement Tuesday that an 87-year-old woman driving the Camry “failed to see the motorcyclist” and the two vehicles collided.
The crash remains under investigation, but impairment wasn’t believed to be a factor in the crash. Thurgood was not wearing a helmet, according to police.
Tuesday's crash resulted in at least the 41st fatality in the state this year. There were 39 motorcyclists killed in all of 2017.
