SALT LAKE CITY — Fire officials have gained containment on two Weber County blazes, but are warning people to stay away from the Avon Fire.
The fire is burning about 6 miles north of Eden and was 50 percent contained as of 6:45 p.m. Saturday. The North Fork Fire, burning near Utaba Reservoir northwest of Eden, was 80 percent contained as of Saturday morning.
There are at least six active wildfires burning across the state, according to Utah fire officials.
