POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — An eastern Idaho man police say doused two men on a Pocatello street with bear spray is facing charges.
Fifty-nine-year-old Kyle Smith was taken into custody by police on Thursday and booked into the Bannock County Jail on suspicion of two counts of misdemeanor battery.
The Idaho State Journal reports that Pocatello police responded at about 2 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities say Smith approached two men and shot them both with bear spray. One of the men was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Authorities say the men might have been involved in a dispute the previous day.
Bear spray is pepper spray intended to stop attacks by grizzly and black bears.
It's not clear from online records if Smith has an attorney.
