SANDY — A 48-year-old man died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car in Sandy Tuesday night, officials said.
Police identified the man as Richard Christensen, of Sandy.
The motorcycle was eastbound on 10600 South about 11 p.m. when it hit a car that was turning left at 80 East, according to Sandy Police Sgt. Jason Nielsen.
Christensen was taken to a local hospital but died from his injuries.
No information about injuries to the 26-year-old driver of the Ford Fiesta was immediately available.
10600 South was closed in the area for a while, but reopened by the morning commute.
