Police investigating body found in Ogden

OGDEN — Police are investigating the discovery of a body in the business depot area Sunday evening.

The body, which police identified as female, was found in a canal near 1000 West and 600 North. The body will be transported to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death, according to Ogden Police Lt. Chris Kovalsky.

Officials are calling the discovery suspicious but have not released details on the female's age or when she was discovered.
