DEDHAM, Mass. (AP) — Authorities say the deaths of two people in separate Massachusetts towns appear to be related.

The Norwich District Attorney's office says Tuesday a woman in Norwood, and a man in Dedham are tied to the same residential care facility.

First, 41-year-old Jeffrey Goldstein of Dedham was found dead at the Holiday Inn in that town on Monday. Shortly after, 74-year-old Mary MacKinnon of Norwood was found dead in the Holiday Inn in that town.

The DA's office says Goldstein lived at the facility in Dedham called Venture Community Services, where MacKinnon worked.

They left the facility Monday morning to take Goldstein to a medical appointment in a van. The office says MacKinnon appears to have killed herself. The state's chief medical examiner will conduct autopsies.
