REXBURG, Idaho — Is your passion flying? Or vintage aircraft? Just looking for a fun event the whole family can attend? Then the Legacy Flight Museum's free "Fire in the Sky" airshow at the Rexburg-Madison County Airport is the place to be on Saturday.
The event will be more than just a modern plane in the air. There will be historic warbirds on display and performing in the sky. There will be aerobatics, pyrotechnics, food vendors and souvenirs.
The event takes place every two years.
The Legacy Flight Museum was founded by John Bagley of Rexburg, Idaho, in 2006. According to the museum’s website, Bagley’s goal and the goal of the museum’s volunteers is to give guests the opportunity to see up close and personal some of the aircraft that the United States military veterans flew as they served our country and provided us with the freedoms that we enjoy today.
The free air show will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Legacy Flight Museum is open Memorial Day to Labor Day, six days a week, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and from Labor Day to Memorial Day, it is open Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Volunteers are always needed at the museum. To apply, anyone 18 and over may fill out an application at the museum.
