SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah woman says she is suing actor Tom Sizemore over accusations that he groped her at a photo shoot when she was 11 because she wants to stand up for other child actors. The 26-year-old Kiersten Pyke said Monday at her attorney's office in Salt Lake City that her dreams of an acting career evaporated after the 2003 incident during production of the "Born Killers" movie. She says she was left with post-traumatic stress and drug and alcohol addiction. Sizemore has denied the allegations.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Officials say visitors at a Utah state park have been dislodging dinosaur tracks imprinted in sandstone and throwing the pieces into a nearby lake. Red Fleet State Park employee Josh Hansen said the site lined with hundreds of the prehistoric raptor tracks has been heavily damaged the past six months.
HONOLULU (AP) — Officials say a woman who was killed after being struck by falling rocks while hiking along a Hawaii trail was from Utah. The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports the 34-year-old woman who died Saturday while on the Makaua Hidden Valley Trail in Kaaawa was 6 months pregnant and from Salt Lake City. The Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office said Sunday it was not yet releasing the name of the woman, who was on the Kaaawa hike with her husband.
PAGE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a man has accidentally fallen about 800 feet (243 meters) to his death at the Glen Canyon National Recreational Area in Arizona. Sheriff's officials say no foul play is suspected in the death of 33-year-old Zachary Wallace of Phoenix. Wallace's brother told National Park Service rangers that he witnessed the fall off the edge of Horseshoe Bend on Sunday. Glen Canyon National Recreation Area encompasses over 1.25 million acres (505,857 hectares) from Arizona to southern Utah.
