MIDVALE, Utah (AP) — Officials say as many as six people were injured in a multi-vehicle wreck involving Utah Transit Authority paratransit bus that ended up on its side on Interstate 15 in the Salt Lake City area.

Authority spokesman Carl Arky tells the Deseret News the driver was the only person in the wheelchair-accessible bus when it crashed before 7 p.m. Thursday on the northbound freeway in Midvale.

The conditions of most of the injured people weren't immediately known.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce tells KSL-TV that one woman reported a broken wrist and at least two other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Officials said traffic remained snarled in the area for about two hours.
