INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Now the Indianapolis Colts can reap the rewards of last month's trade with the New York Jets.
They have four picks on the second day of the NFL draft, including three in the second round Friday night.
Indy moved back three spots in the Jets deal and still wound up filling a huge by selecting Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson at No. 6 overall on Thursday night. He fills a huge need on an offensive line that gave up 56 sacks last season and has allowed Andrew Luck to be sacked 156 times over the past six years.
Indy starts the day with selections No. 36, 37, 49 and 67 and still has plenty of needs including running back, receiver and linebacker.
