NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — The New Jersey Devils have signed forward Brett Seney to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Devils general manager Ray Shero announced Friday that the contract will begin with the 2018-19 season.

Seney was taken in the sixth round of the 2015 NHL draft. He will sign an AHL amateur tryout agreement on Saturday and report to Binghamton.

Seney spent the last four seasons at Merrimack College in Massachusetts, collecting 42 goals and 73 assists in 139 games. He had 13 goals and 19 assists this past season. The London, Ontario, native shared or led Merrimack in points in each of his four seasons.
