HOUSTON (AP) — Donte Clark scored 22 points and Derrick Bruce scored 18 and No. 3 seed Texas Southern beat second-seeded Prairie View A&M 88-74 in a Southwestern Athletic Conference semifinal game Friday night.

Texas Southern (14-19) faces top-seed Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday.

The Tigers led 34-32 at halftime and maintained a slight edge until Bruce hit a 3-pointer and a layup and Clark's jumper with 12:13 left made it 55-47. The Panthers' Gary Blackston and Texas Southern's Lamont Walker each traded a pair of 3s, and Walker's second 3 of the exchange sparked the Tigers' 9-0 run and Prairie View never recovered.

Demontrae Jefferson scored 15 points for the Tigers and Walker added 13.

Blackston tied a career-high 32 points for Prairie View (16-18), JD Wallace scored 13 with 12 rebounds and Troy Thompson scored 12.
