BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Terry Zeh is out after completing his 14th season as Canisius College's women's basketball coach.

The school announced Thursdat that it will not renew Zeh's contract. The decision was made a week after the Golden Griffins lost to Monmouth in the first round of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament.

Canisius finished 10-20 for its ninth straight losing season. It was also the ninth straight year the Golden Griffins failed to advance past the MAAC quarterfinals since losing the championship game in 2009.

Zeh finished with a 195-233 record and led Canisius to its first and only NCAA Tournament berth during his first season in 2004-05. The Golden Griffins also earned a WNIT berth during a 24-9 season in 2008-09.

Before taking over the women's team, Zeh spent seven years as an assistant on Canisius men's basketball team.
