OGDEN — A 20-year-old West Haven man died after his motorcycle crashed into an SUV Wednesday night.

The crash took place at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Canfield Drive (1225 North) at about 4:12 p.m., Ogden City police officials said in a statement.

An SUV driver turned from Canfield onto Washington, and the motorcycle rider crashed into the SUV, an Ogden City police spokesperson said.

The motorcyclist was driving north on Washington and was declared dead at the scene, according to police. He was wearing a helmet when the crash took place.

The 73-year-old man who was driving the SUV did not have any injuries, police said. He was the only person in the SUV.

Police did not provide an identity for either person involved in the crash. No citations had been issued as of 6:50 p.m. Wednesday.
