FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Deante Strickland and Holland Woods scored 12 points apiece to lead Portland State to a 72-66 win over Northern Arizona on Saturday night.

Clinging to a one-point lead at the break, Portland State opened the second half with a 7-0 burst that included two buckets from Brandon Hollins to make it 31-23 with just under 17 minutes to play. Northern Arizona later cut the gap to 38-37 on Corey Brown's jumper but it was as close as the Lumberjacks got as Portland State responded with a 9-0 run and hung on for the final nine minutes.

Portland State (18-11, 8-8 Big Sky Conference) shot just 38 percent from the field but dominated the glass, 46-32, with Hollins grabbing 12 of those rebounds to go with eight points. The Vikings have won three straight.

Torry Johnson led Northern Arizona (5-24, 2-14) with 15 points and Karl Harris and Jojo Anderson had 13 points apiece.
