BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — Justin Massey had three 3-pointers and 24 points on Saturday night and Florida Atlantic wrapped its home schedule with at 74-54 win over North Texas.
Gerdarius Troutman added 19 points for the Owls (12-16, 6-10 Conference USA), who clinched a spot in the conference tournament. Payton Hulsey had 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals and Ronald Delph had 11 points and six blocked shots.
Florida Atlantic first pulled away with a 13-2 run to lead 55-41 with 12 minutes to go and then went on a 13-0 run to stretch the lead to 27 at 74-47 with four minutes left.
A.J. Lawson had 12 points to lead the Mean Green (14-15, 7-9), who made 4 of 21 from 3-point range.
