CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Miami guard Bruce Brown Jr. is scheduled to have his injured left foot re-evaluated by doctors on March 12, which means he will miss the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.
Brown's availability for the start of the NCAA Tournament on March 13 is unlikely. He underwent surgery on Feb. 1, and at the time was expected to be sidelined for about six weeks.
The Hurricanes are 4-3 without their star guard and 19-8 overall heading into Saturday's home game against Boston College.
Brown, a versatile sophomore, began the season touted as a possible 2018 NBA first-round draft pick but has struggled at times. He's averaging 11.4 points and shooting 42 percent, including 27 percent from 3-point range.
