Feagin, Caruso help Santa Clara beat Pacific 72-68

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) — KJ Feagin and Henry Caruso scored 18 points apiece and Emmanuel Ndumanya had 15 points and nine rebounds to help Santa Clara beat Pacific 72-68 on Saturday night.

Feagin was 7-of-13 shooting and had five assists, while Caruso hit 2 of 3 from 3-point range, made all eight of his free-throw attempts and grabbed eight rebounds.

Feagin hit a 3-pointer and then made a layup to give Santa Clara (11-17, 8-8 West Coast Conference) a 66-63 lead. After Pacific's Miles Reynolds answered with a layup, Feagin and Reynolds traded two free throws each to make it 68-67 with 1:43 to play. Caruso made 4-of-4 foul shots in the final 17 seconds to seal it.

Roberto Gallinat led Pacific (14-15, 9-7) with 24 points. Reynolds added 16 points and Jahil Tripp scored 14 with seven rebounds.

The Tigers are fourth in the conference standings, one game ahead of San Diego, San Francisco and Santa Clara. The top six teams earn a first-round bye in West Coast Conference Tournament.
