ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Substitute Lazaros Christodoulopoulos scored with a second-half penalty four minutes after coming on to put AEK top of the Greek league with a 1-0 win against Asteras on Sunday.

Host AEK, which missed several scoring chances, is a point ahead of PAOK, which hosts Larissa on Monday.

Defending champion Olympiakos snatched a last-gasp 2-2 draw at Atromitos and trails AEK by four points.

AEK forward Sergio Araujo alone had five scoring chances, with the best coming in the 13th minute. With the Asteras defense mistakenly lobbing the ball over their own goalkeeper, Araujo tried to smash it into the net from less than a meter (yard) away but hit the crossbar instead. He also had another shot hit the post.

Christodoulopoulos converted the penalty in the 61st.

Also, Panetolikos beat Platanias 3-0 and Levadiakos drew 1-1 at Apollon.
